SUMMARY:3 Ways with Landscapes & Seascapes
DESCRIPTION:  \nOur very own Liz Sparkes might be best known for her splash backs\, but more recently she has also become  known as “The Queen of Skies”\, with her land and seascapes. \nHaving learned from some of the best teachers in the glass field\, such as Paul Messink and Kelly Crosser Alge\, she has also undertaken classes in other mediums\, such as watercolours\, abstraction and printing which have also influenced her work in glass. She has continued to develop her own style and methods for creating landscapes\, borrowing ideas from from these many sources. \nIn this 4 day Masterclass\, Liz will explore 3 ways of creating landscapes \n\nUsing powders to create painterly landscapes\nUsing enamels and multiple layers of glass to create 3 dimensional work.\nUsing inclusions to create more abstracted work.\n\nThe class is designed to help glass makers explore their craft and interpret images and what they see around them in glass\, as well as tips and tricks on working with different materials and glasses for different effects. \nLiz will also cover ways to display your work professionally. \nAll materials will be provided. \nWe offer a staged payment option with a deposit of £250\, and 4 monthly payments of £90 by Direct Debit. An invitation to set up a Direct Debit will be emailed separately. \nA discount is available if payment in full is made at time of booking. Cost £575 \nCovid information. This class has been listed assuming that by late spring we will once again be enjoying respite from the pandemic\, however at the time of listing this class it is difficult to know what advice we need to be following in Spring 2021\, so we are also assuming that social distancing will still be in place. This means we have reduced the number of students to allow for adequate social distancing\, and have suspended offering lunches on site for the time being. More up to date information will be offered closer to the start date.
